When is a property valuation necessary?
- When paying taxes. Determining the market value of real estate in case of alienation is important for fiscal authorities.

- For registration of collateral, insurance, other business contracts. For example, valuation services are often made when renting real estate.
Today, an assessment — is a complex analytical process requiring a combination of:
- extensive knowledge of the appraiser in a market economy, finance, accounting, law, construction and operation of buildings and equipment;
- art and experience in the use of information databases for the application of various methods and procedures for valuation;
- a legal basis for doing this work;
- adherence to professional ethics.
The theory and practice of valuation, as well as market conditions, are constantly changing, so an appraiser needs to monitor them and improve their knowledge. In addition to basic education, the appraiser must constantly attend courses and seminars conducted by public organizations of appraisers and government bodies, be a member of a recognized professional organization of appraisers.
